About the calculation

Frequently asked questions

What does the calculator compute?

Based on the shape and dimensions you select, it calculates the required concrete volume (m³), the approximate amounts of cement, sand and gravel, the rebar requirement and the number of mixer trucks. With the unit converter you can also convert m³ into other units.

How many tonnes is 1 m³ of concrete?

Ordinary reinforced concrete weighs about 2.4 t/m³. The calculator computes the weight automatically — in the results you see both the volume and the approximate weight.

How much concrete does one mixer truck carry?

Standard mixer trucks usually hold 7–10 m³. The calculator automatically suggests the number of mixer trucks needed for your project.

How accurate are the results?

The calculations are approximate planning values based on a nominal mix and serve as a reliable reference for design. For structural work the final mix design is refined under laboratory control — feel free to contact us for this.
